Group Rules
The following Group Rules apply to all Paralegals Connect Groups:
We encourage all Group members to report to Admins and/or Moderators if they observe any other group members violating any of the below group rules. Violators of the below rules can be removed from all Groups without prior warning.
1. You must read the group rules, announcements, and pinned posts.
All members must take the time to read our group rules, announcements, and pinned posts. Announcements explain changes to our rules, give newsletter updates, affiliate discounts, etc.
2. Please respect each other. We understand that topics may arise that may cause a heated discussion; however, you must refrain from being rude, cursing, name-calling, insulting, belittling, shaming, or putting down another member.
Reporting a violation of this rule: If you see a member violating this rule, you should report the post, and/or notify an admin/moderator by tagging one of us or sending a screenshot via private message or e-mail to [email protected]. Offensive behavior against members, admins, or moderators will not be tolerated and will result in the member being removed and blocked from the group. Our groups were designed to be helpful and support group. To date, we have blocked over 1,000 members from our groups. Blocking the rude members allows everyone to freely post questions and comments without being chastised by others. I believe this is what has made our group the success it is today.
3. Do not seek personal (or friend/family) legal advice within our groups. (Even if you are a paralegal, this is not permitted in this group) As our title states, these groups are for paralegals and prospective paralegals to connect with others that support our profession. If you joined these groups seeking free legal advice, please understand that paralegals are not permitted to give legal advice, and only an attorney can provide legal advice. Please consult your State Bar Association for referrals to lawyers, your local Legal Aid, or other nonprofit organizations. There are numerous resources out there that assist with your specific problem. Don’t give up and good luck!
4. Do not advertise within our groups. If you would like to promote your services, group, links, website, products, software, etc. within our groups, please visit our "Become an Affiliate" tab in our website or e-mail to [email protected]. Advertising in our groups without becoming an Affiliate will result in being blocked from the group. We may send a warning email first about breaking this rule. If we see your post and/or comment again, you will be immediately blocked from the group.
